Queen of Angels Catholic School has an opening for our Cafeteria Manager position. This position is part-time and the candidate would be eligible to work up to 29.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

The Cafeteria Manager reports directly to the Principal.  The position is intended to provide and monitor lunches for all students of Queen of Angels Catholic School..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Cafeteria Manager

  • FOOD PREPARATION

    • The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for receiving the food from the vendor and heating it to proper temperature requirements.

    • The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for ensuring that all prep work is completed for all meals distributed to the school children.

  • TRACKING FOOD

    • The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for keeping an accurate inventory of the food received by the school’s food vendor.

    • The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for making orders for food and milk on an on-going basis to ensure that the school is properly equipped for school lunches.

    • The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for logging the meals that students receive during the lunch period and accurately reporting them on a spreadsheet.

    • The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for completing any necessary paperwork that is required for participation in the National School Lunch Program.

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

    • The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for completing all State required and local training as directed by the school and the State of Indiana in order to participate in the National School Lunch Program.

 

The ideal candidate will have good organizational skills as well as be a team player.  This candidate must also be dependable and able to work 29.5 hours each week. The candidate must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
