Responsibilities:

Teach middle school English Language Arts curriculum, including reading, writing, grammar, and literature.
Foster a love for reading and writing while encouraging critical thinking and creativity.
Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to a range of student abilities.
Provide constructive feedback on student work and promote an environment of academic growth and excellence.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive and well-rounded instruction.
Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and work to establish strong, positive relationships between school and home.
Support the school's mission by integrating Catholic values and teachings into daily lessons.

Key Qualifications:

A degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Valid teaching certification for middle school (preferred).
Strong knowledge and experience in teaching English Language Arts at the middle school level.
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
Ability to collaborate with other educators and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
A strong desire to engage in partnership with parents, supporting their involvement in their child's academic and spiritual development.
Active commitment to the Catholic faith, with a strong connection to the mission of the Congregation of Holy Cross.
Experience with English Language Learners (ELL) is preferred, but not required.
