Christ the King Catholic School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our faith-filled learning community. This full-time position will serve students in grades 6 through 8, with a primary focus on developing literacy skills through novel studies, writing, and grammar instruction. We are looking for an educator committed to supporting the academic and spiritual growth of each student while upholding the values of our Catholic faith.
Key Responsibilities:

Instruction & Curriculum: Teach ELA classes to 6th through 8th-grade students, focusing on building literacy skills, developing writing proficiency, and fostering an appreciation for literature.

Novel Studies: Engage students in thoughtful analysis of novels and other literary works to promote critical thinking and comprehension.

Writing & Grammar: Guide students in mastering writing techniques, grammar, and mechanics across various genres, including narrative, persuasive, and expository writing.

Lesson Differentiation: Design and implement differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners, providing both support and enrichment opportunities.

Faith Integration: Foster a classroom environment that reflects Catholic values and teachings, encouraging students to apply their faith in daily life.

Classroom Environment: Create a positive, respectful classroom culture that promotes a love of reading and writing while supporting student collaboration and creativity.

Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents to support student growth, participating in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and faith-based activities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.

Valid Indiana teaching license (or willingness to obtain).

Experience teaching middle school students preferred.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
