St. Bernard, Wabash- St. Bernard, Wabash - Preschool/PreK Lead Teacher (Wabash, IN)

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to create and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that fosters the spiritual, social, emotional, and cognitive development of our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and a commitment to integrating Catholic values into the daily classroom experience.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards and Catholic values.
Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes exploration, creativity, and learning.
Foster a love of learning through play-based activities, hands-on experiences, and interactive lessons.
Integrate faith-based teachings and activities into daily routines and lessons.
Assess and document student progress through observations, portfolios, and assessments.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
Supervise students during classroom activities, playtime, and transitions.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities.
Attend faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
Guide children in social interactions, and help them to develop strong social emotional skills.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education
A strong commitment to Catholic education and values.
Previous experience teaching preschool or pre-kindergarten is preferred.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education principles.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must pass a background check and complete required clearances.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
