Job Title: Part-Time Lunchroom Assistant
Location: Christ the King Catholic School – South Bend, IN
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday (approximately 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
Start Date: August 2025
Position Summary:
Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a reliable and energetic individual to assist our Lunch Director in serving daily meals to students in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, supporting children, and being part of a faith-centered school community.
Primary Responsibilities:

Assist the Lunch Director with meal preparation and food service

Serve lunches to students in an organized and efficient manner

Help set up and clean food service areas before, during, and after lunch

Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are followed

Assist with dishwashing and cleaning kitchen equipment as needed

Provide light supervision and assistance to students in the lunch line

Support a positive, team-based kitchen environment
Qualifications:

Friendly, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced setting

Comfortable handling food and working in a kitchen environment

Ability to follow basic instructions and safety guidelines

Must complete Diocesan Safe Environment training (can be completed upon hire)

Experience in food service or school kitchen settings is helpful but not required
