Role Summary

The Lunch Aide ensures a safe and positive lunch experience for students by assisting with meal preparation and serving,

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service:

    • Assist the Cafeteria Manager with food preparation (including but not limited to., starting warmers, starting ovens, portioning, setting up lines) and efficient meal serving.

    • Maintain strict adherence to health and sanitation standards during food handling and cleanup.

    • Perform required cleanup duties: wiping tables, sweeping, washing dishes, and managing waste.

    • A willingness to complete necessary food service training or courses.

  • Student Supervision:

    • Address minor student conflicts and provide assistance (e.g., opening containers, packages, or other items).

    • Immediately report all accidents, injuries, or serious disciplinary matters to teachers or administration

Preferred Qualifications 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to 50 lbs).

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.

  • Must pass a required background check and complete diocesan Safe Environment training.
