Description:
The Assistant Principal serves on the administrative team overseeing aspects of student life/student management as well as teacher and staff support/evaluation/supervision, safety, and other areas. The AP performs supervisory responsibilities as assigned.  The AP helps maintain a positive, joyful, welcoming,  supportive, and inclusive school climate, and supports and strengthens the mission of Saint Joseph High School to transform students in heart and mind, preparing them to serve God, the Church, and the world.


Requirements
>Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree  and valid Teaching and Administrative License*
*Candidates pursuing or willing to pursue an administrative license are welcome to apply
>Teaching experience required; Previous administrative/supervisory experience preferred.
>A knowledge of best practices in student management at the high school level.
>An understanding of best practices in teacher evaluation as well as high school curriculum, instruction, assessment, classroom management.
>An interest in serving in a Catholic Institution committed to our mission and enduring vision statements.
>Valid driver’s license.
