We have an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Program Manager (Sales) to join our team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The ideal candidate is a sales-savvy leader who can set processes and workflows, manage customer relationships, and ensure the seamless execution of sales projects. The Program Manager will organize, plan, set milestones, and execute sales-related customer projects while managing budgets and schedules. They will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate sales activities, and maintain communication with stakeholders through project closure. Additionally, they will drive the engineering development and manufacturing milestones and plans and serve as the main point of contact for several long-term customer programs, ensuring consistent alignment with customer needs and strategic business goals.
Responsibilities:
A program manager is a professional who organizes, plans, and executes projects. Their responsibilities at a high level include:
- Develop and execute sales project plans that align with customer requirements and business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of sales projects, managing milestones and deliverables.
- Maintain and manage customer relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction from order acceptance to delivery.
- Drive the engineering development and manufacturing milestones and plans.
- Serve as the main point of contact for several long-term customer programs, fostering strong customer relationships.
- Plan and stick to project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Communicate effectively with sales team members, stakeholders, vendors, and customers.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with sales projects.
- Troubleshoot issues to ensure timely and successful project completion.
In more detail, a strong project manager will effectively lead projects as follows:
- Develop detailed project schedules based on sales requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
- Identify and allocate resources required to achieve project goals.
- Drive progress and track status against sales project plans, timelines, and changing priorities.
- Evaluate and manage changes to project scope, time, and cost, ensuring alignment with sales objectives.
- Coordinate with project staff to ensure successful completion of sales projects.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring accountability within the sales team.
- Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders, managing those expectations continuously.
- Define project scope, success criteria, and deliverables aligned with sales strategies and objectives.
- Report project status regularly and assist in preparing presentations for steering committees.
- Identify and manage project risks, tracking and resolving issues as they arise.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and needs throughout the sales project lifecycle.
- Lead post-implementation reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement change management plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support sales initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on sales and cross-functional team integration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with team members, stakeholders, vendors, and customers.
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and multitask to keep sales projects running smoothly.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A positive attitude and sense of humor to energize the sales team and handle stress effectively.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on sales or project management is a plus.
- PMP and/or CAPM certifications are a plus.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of experience leading large, complex sales projects, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.
