To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, committed, and energetic Inside Sales Representative to join our West Edmonton, New Steel team.

Reporting to our Sales Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining current customers and generating new customers. 

The hours of work for this position are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and alternating Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather appropriate local market information, monitor cost trends and availability of supply
  • Maintain current customer base and generate new business
  • Interact with various departments with regards to the successful completion of customers’ orders
  • Take responsibility for increasing sales and the protection and expansion of profit margins
  • Assist existing and future customers with questions regarding the pricing of materials and types of material available
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to all internal and external customers
  • Calculate pricing of material while ensuring accuracy for customer billing
  • Review and understand all Best Work Practices, Safe Job Procedures, and Job Safety Analysis for his/her tasks
  • Attend and partake in all Toolbox and monthly safety meetings
  • Relief supervisory responsibilities
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor

Education and Experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a Sales position, preferably in the steel industry, is not a requirement but will be considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills is a must
  • Proficient in the use of computers and software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Highly detail oriented, with exceptional organizational and time management skills is a must
