Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Stafford, VA
Job Summary/Purpose: The Gemini 3 Group (G3G) is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to support a valued Department of Defense (DoD) customer. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Responsibilities/Functions:
• Reconcile Fixed Assets and Inventory sub-ledgers to general ledgers.
• Assist in reconciliation of Property Plant and Equipment (PP&E); Operations, Materials and Supplies (OM&S); Internal Use Software and other fixed asset accounts’ beginning balances.
• Assist in reconciling Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) Fixed Assets information to other PP&E databases and systems.
• Assist in the performance of independent valuations of capital assets that lack original source supporting documentation.
• Assist in compiling metrics and information to support any required write-offs to correct asset account balances.
• Assist in the development of audit schedules and work papers to support balances on financial statements.
• Assist in developing research papers on financial accounting and auditing standards.
Required Experience:
• At least 7 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to understand and practicably apply the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board’s (FASB) Statements of Federal Financial accounting Concepts (SFFAC) and Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS)
• Ability to understand and practicably apply Financial Accounting Standards Board’s (FASB) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to establish excellent internal and external customer relationships.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Required Education, Licenses and Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field.
• Possess a current professional license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
