As a “caretaker” of our brand’s legacy, the Supply Chain Analyst manages and develops department metrics and dashboards as it relates to supply chain excellence. The Analyst with coordinate all monthly S&OP meetings as well as data gathering and updates related to meetings. Through experience, the Analyst will monitor internal, economic and consumer trends to forecast sales and inventory. 

WORK ACTIVITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:                        
  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
    • Assist in preparing recurring monthly reports and data updates to support the S&OP process
    • Coordinate and manage monthly S&OP meetings
    • Analyze and monitor internal, economic, and consumer trends to forecast sales and inventory
    • Collaborate with Inventory Manager to generate updates to demand plan on a monthly basis
  • Material Sourcing and Procurement
    • Prepare templates and analyze results for RFQ’s
    • Create, implement, and monitor the reporting controls that meet the company’s procurement requirements
    • Monitor total spend and impact of price changes by vendor and commodity
  • Production Planning and Execution
    • Identify and assist in the removing of waste, variability, and excess lead time in existing process
    • Create and track reports that measure efficiency by work center and employee
    • Monitor and collect data on current operations including scheduling, sourcing, warehousing, production, and delivery
  • General Analysis and Reporting
    • Create and update department metrics and dashboards
    • Develop and prepare monthly updates of external table data to inform business strategy and production decisions
    • Analyze supply chain performance data to identify improvement opportunities
    • Design and oversee work procedures governing recurring reports and duties
    • Communicate with other departments within the organization to identify efficiency issues, develop solutions, and assist in implementing changes
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
 
  • Basic Qualifications                                                    
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant studies or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Two years related experience in inventory for manufacturing – with a preference for printing
    • Expert in MS Excel and Word, Crystal Reports, and database mining and manipulation (e.g., Order Management System (OMS), inventory databases and purchasing software)
    • Proven knowledge of Excel power pivot and power query 
    • A current and valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Preferred Qualifications                                                
    • Language Skills: Proven experience reading and interpreting documents (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, orders, procedure manuals, and regulations) and writing reports for management, business communication and procedure manuals. 
    • Mathematical Skills: Documented ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Demonstrated ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.  
    • Reasoning Ability: Documented ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.  Proven experience dealing with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

This position has an estimated annual salary range of $60,000 - $75,000The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
