Primary function:
The Director of Engineering is responsible for the development and launch of product; ensuring facilities, equipment and maintenance support daily production needs; facilitation of product warranty; and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This position leads the strategic effort of the Manufacturing, Product, and Process Engineering Teams.

This position leads the strategic effort of the Manufacturing, Product, and Process Engineering Teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead a progressive engineering team focused on individual, department, and company growth
- Support the Mission, Values and Beliefs of the organization by modeling the behavior and committing to the mission of remanufacturing for a sustainable future.
- Build and manage annual budgets and KPI including human resources, capital, and expense budgets
- Strategic planning for business accomplishment and growth
- Identification of technologies and automations for implementation in remanufacturing environment
- Partner with Sales and Supply Chain to identify parts for launch and conversion according to APQP methodologies
- Participate in feasibility studies to identify diversification opportunities in line with the strategic business plan of the organization
- Continuous improvement for efficiencies, cost reduction, cost avoidance, and safety
- Engaged in the safety response team for corrective actions and expansion activities
- Implementation of capital improvement projects
- Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems, suggesting improvements as appropriate
- Review and update business policies relevant to internal systems and equipment
- Facility management for production, warehouse, and office settings
- Build and promote relationships with the community, suppliers, customers and all stakeholders as a representative of CNH Reman
- Develop managers to effectively execute employee selection, development, recognition, and performance feedback to ensure motivation and succession planning is in place for the long-term success of the department
- Participates in and supports the principles of Open Book Management
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with five years of senior leadership experience
- Proven project management skills in a manufacturing setting
- Able to make judgments and decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
- Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Must be willing to expand knowledge and abilities as needed
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and a zero-incident environment.
