Maintenance Team Member

Job Summary

The Maintenance Team member performs general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep on various properties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
  • Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician; e.g., repairing drywall, painting, repairing doors and other building fixtures
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of facilities
  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
  • This list does not include all duties that may be assigned

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be over 18
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Related experience preferred
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean record
  • On-the-job training offered

Skills
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills


Working Conditions
Environments can change significantly as maintenance work is performed both in and out of doors at various locations.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
