Part Time Caregiver $30/hr

Pay: $30 per hour
Schedule: One weekend day 8am-8pm (12 hours), and 2-3 hours mid-day during 2 flexible weekdays
Guaranteed 20 hours per week
Benefits: paid time off

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and tech-savvy Caregiver to provide dedicated support for a 45-year-old individual with visual impairment and cognitive challenges due to a medical condition. The ideal candidate will be patient, understanding, and capable of offering both physical and emotional support, while also assisting with daily digital tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication reminders.
  • Ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Help with mobility and navigation, utilizing a walking stick when needed.
  • Monitor and manage the individual's schedule using Google Calendar.
  • Provide transportation to appointments as needed.
  • Communicate with medical professionals and family members.
  • Assist with email management, organization, and digital communication.
  • Help navigate and use a smartphone and other electronic devices.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • Provide companionship and emotional reassurance.
  • Assist with managing anxiety and emotional regulation.
  • Offer gentle redirection when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living space.
  • Prepare meals
  • Be comfortable around children during family visits.
  • Maintain professional boundaries while coordinating with family members.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with the individual, family, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Prior caregiving experience.
  • Strong technological skills (smartphones, computers, email).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to provide clear verbal cues.
  • Ability to manage schedules and daily tasks efficiently.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Provide 3-5 professional references
