Temporary Nanny Needed – June 19th–21st | Lake Placid, NY | $30–$35/hr

A warm, active family is seeking an experienced and energetic temporary nanny to care for their three young boys (ages 4, 3, and 15 months) while staying at The Mirror Lake Inn in Lake Placid, NY. The position is from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM on June 19th, 20th, and 21st.

Compensation:
$30–$35 per hour, based on experience

Location:
The Mirror Lake Inn, Lake Placid, NY
(Care will take place in a 2-bedroom suite and the surrounding resort area)

Schedule:
Wednesday, June 19 – Friday, June 21
3:00 PM – 9:00 PM each day

Children:

  • 4-year-old boy (high energy, likely has ADHD though not officially diagnosed)
  • 3-year-old boy (potty training regression; sometimes in pull-ups)
  • 15-month-old boy (toddler stage)

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage all three children in fun, age-appropriate play
  • Actively monitor children at the beach, pool, and playground (swimming skills required)
  • Assist with potty training for the 3-year-old as needed
  • Serve room service or takeout for dinner (provided by the family)
  • Prepare the children for bedtime routines (bathing, dressing, calming activities)
  • Ensure safety and boundary-setting with kindness and confidence

Qualifications:

  • CPR/First Aid certified (preferred)
  • Strong swimmer (required)
  • High energy and assertive personality
  • Experience with multiple young children, especially active or neurodivergent kids
  • Confident managing bedtime routines
  • Warm, reliable, and playful

 

Additional Information:
The children do not have food allergies. The family will be nearby and available as needed. This is a temporary but important role for a high-energy caregiver who can confidently step in and make the three evenings a fun and smooth experience for the boys.
