Short-Term Newborn Nanny (4–6 Weeks)

Location: Lakewood, CA
Start Date: Mid-July 2025
Duration: 4–6 weeks
Schedule: Monday Wednesday Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $25–$30/hour DOE

Description:
A family in Lakewood is seeking a nurturing, experienced nanny to provide short-term care for their newborn son starting mid-July. The role will support the family as the mother transitions back to work, and the nanny will work alongside involved grandparents to ensure high-quality care and a smooth adjustment for everyone.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on newborn care (feeding, diapering, soothing, sleep routines)
  • Light housekeeping related to the baby (laundry, bottle sanitizing, etc.)
  • Communicating with parents and grandparents throughout the day

Qualifications:

  • Recent newborn care experience preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Experience with preemies and colic a plus
  • Comfortable with cats (family has 2)
  • Reliable personal transportation (parking available)
  • Must be dependable, warm, and collaborative
  • Must be able to provide 3-5 professional references

  • Must have U.S. work authorization
