The Rescue Mission of Trenton is seeking a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) to join our Behavioral Health team. Every day, our counselors help individuals experiencing substance use disorders rebuild their lives through evidence-based treatment, meaningful relationships, and a recovery-oriented environment. Our counselors work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care that promotes recovery, self-sufficiency, and overall wellness.

Our Behavioral Health Center is a licensed, highly engaged treatment program where recovery happens through daily, face-to-face connection. This is hands-on, relationship-based care where consistency and presence matter. Our team works directly with individuals in structured group and individual settings, helping them rebuild stability, confidence, and hope one step at a time.
What You’ll Do
• Provide individual and group counseling in a structured, in-person setting
• Support recovery planning, goal setting, and progress tracking
• Collaborate with clinical staff and community partners
• Assist clients in building life skills and daily structure
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
What We’re Looking For
Required
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
• Valid driver’s license
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use, or case management support
