JOB SUMMARY
Valley Catholic High School is seeking a Kitchen Server who has a passion for middle and high school aged students. This position will work as part of a team providing food options that meet the nutritional needs of our school community.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparation of meals, properly following directions, portioning instructions and presentation procedures in order to ensure cost effectiveness and quality.
  • Maintain safe food handling procedures by monitoring and adhering to proper temperature controls and personal hygiene.
  • Setup, maintain and break down service line in order to provide efficient service and store unused food using proper sanitary procedures.
  • Handle cashiering responsibilities including food sales and serving of a la carte items.
  • Ensure proper student identification, accurately record each customer’s financial transaction in order to identify meals served per day.
  • Clean and sanitize serving lines, work stations, service areas, storage areas, kitchen floors, kitchen equipment and tools, washing dishes and utensils and emptying refuse in the kitchen as assigned by the manager.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by loading, unloading, stocking and organizing food and supplies.
  • Perform other duties of a similar level or nature.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Salary Range: For the current academic year, the Kitchen Server hourly rate ranges from $16.16/hr - $18.61/hr, based on years of experience.
  • Work Schedule: 3-7.5 hours per day, not to exceed 37.5 hours/week without overtime.

  • This position will begin work on/about August 19, 2024, to prepare for the school year and is to be completed in accordance with the published school calendar as instructed by the school’s administration.
