We are looking for energetic, flexible and open-minded Substitute Teacher who is motivated by new opportunities and challenges. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about and committed to the mission and vision of Valley Catholic Elementary School.

The ideal candidate will be able to follow lesson plans while adapting to student needs and dedicated to meeting the needs of diverse student learners. They will be committed to being a collaborative team player who can work together with students, colleagues, the administrative team, and families and will be proactive and flexible.
 


What you will do:
  • Build positive relationship with students.
  • Works under the direct supervision on the principal.
  • Utilizing appropriate methods/materials to help students succeed.
  • Promote safety and well-being
  • Follow and manage lesson plan(s) left by teacher and ensure students complete assignments.
  • Aide classroom teacher in an IA positions where appropriate.
  • You may assist to maintain class and student records.
  • Other duties as appropriate to support the school and students.

What you will need:
  • Have a Bachelor Degree
  • Current Teaching Certificate in the state of Oregon
  • Have previous classroom teaching experience at the primary level
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others.
  • Willingness to think outside of the box; very energetic; a motivator.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet time constraints.
  • Proficient in the use of computer and internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications.
  • Maintain integrity or confidential information relating to students, staff, and families.
