Maryville, a consistently top-rated, regionally recognized health care facility, is in need of Full-Time Shift Supervisor to work in its state-of-the-art, resident-focused Dietary Department. 

Must be able to work a rotation schedule:
Rotating schedule averaging 37.5 hours per week, must be available to work scheduled shifts between the hours of 7:00am - 3:00pm or 11:00am - 7:00pm.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate the responsibility, knowledge and ability to perform duties and act as the person in charge as described in the Oregon Food Sanitation Code
  • Assume full charge of the dietary department in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director of the Dietary Department
  • Ability to direct other dietary staff according to department policies, procedures and regulations
  • Assist with training and instruction of new employees as needed
  • Maintain food quality and safe food handling procedures throughout production and service
  • Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a safe, appropriate manner
  • Take responsibility of general sanitation of entire kitchen
  • Lead the trayline service in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Direct other trayline staff as needed
  • Ensure residents receive items according to specific diet prescriptions

Requirements:
  • At least 6 months of experience as a dietary cook in a healthcare setting
  • Basic computer knowledge. Comfortable entering diet orders into a web based traycard system
  • Familiarity with Crandall Diet Essentials a plus
  • The ability and willingness to take and follow directions, work in a team atmosphere
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. transferring dishes, food, and supplies
  • The ability to understand and work with approved planned menus, recipes, spreadsheets and production sheets
  • A sound understanding of the principles of therapeutic and mechanically altered diets used in healthcare settings
  • The desire to promote health and well-being to Maryville residents by creating attractive food/plate presentation and garnishing
  • A valid Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire
