We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work part-time alongside the administrator in our beautiful residential care (RCF) memory care community. Maryville Memory Care is home to up to 16 older adults living with dementia. In partnership with the Memory Care Administrator, the Nurse will establish and support an inclusive, collaborative, respectful working environment that attracts potential Residents, their family members, and high-quality employees, to live out our mission to provide "Service with Love".

What You'll Do:
  • Work alongside the administrator to ensure resident's healthcare needs are met.
  • Participate in service plans and service plan meetings.
  • Work with Medical Techs to ensure communication and organization of the med room, medication management procedures, and correspondence with healthcare providers are maintained. 
  • Complete RN Assessments 
  • Assist in on-going training of care staff. 

What You'll Need :
  • Previous experience working in the community based care setting such as; Assisted Living, Residential Care, Memory Care, In-Home Care, or Home Health.
  • One year of supervisory and staff training experience is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct geriatric nursing assessments.
  • Knowledge of standards/practices and current trends in dementia care and community based care.
  • The ability to assess, redesign, and implement care processes and procedures and train staff to follow them with the support of the administrator.
  • Willingness to assist the administrator to monitor clinical oversight with occasional on-call duties.
  • The ability to communicate tactfully and compassionately and develop strong, positive relationships with Residents, their families and other supporters.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  •  Reliable attendance and attention to detail.
Education Requirements:
  • Oregon RN license (current and unrestricted) or  Oregon LPN License with experience 2 + years expense. 
  • Ability to complete background screening prior to hire.
  • Pre-Service Dementia Care and Infection Prevention Training (can be completed at time of hire).
  • First Aid and Abdominal Thrust Certification (within 30 days of hire).
Physical Requirements:
  • Be in good physical health
  • Able to regularly lift 45 lbs. while transferring, rotating and assisting residents.
  • Able to walk long distances between units.
  • Able to stand and walk for several hours at a time.
  • Able to bend, twist, squat, and kneel.
