Valley Catholic High School, a member of the OSAA 4A classification and a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon, is recruiting for a Head Track and Field Coach. Javelin experience preferred.
Job Description:
Responsibilities include planning and conducting practice sessions, supporting meet activities, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in sport strategies and techniques.
The High School track season runs from March 3-May 30, 2025 with practices during the week between 3:30 and 5:30pm. Practices and home matches are located on the campus of Valley Catholic School.
Qualified candidates have previous experience coaching track and a passion for teaching fundamentals, teamwork, ethics and sportsmanship. In addition, they have a history of positive influence and interactions with players, coaches, and parents and have the ability to communicate effectively with parents, administration, students, and staff.

Additional Requirements:
- A First Aid/CPR card or the ability to obtain one before the first day of the Track season.
- All required OSAA and NFHS certifications, including concussion, heat illness prevention, steroid training or the ability to obtain these before the first day of the Track season. A complete list can be found here: http://www.osaa.org/coaches
- The successful candidate must complete the Archdiocese of Portland Create a Safe Environment (CASE) training and pass the background check required of all campus employees.
