Join our team as a Med Tech in our Memory Care unit. The Med Tech is responsible for maintaining, ordering, charting, and administering medications as directed. In addition, the Med Tech monitors residents’ status, provides support with daily care, completes incident reports for residents and staff, and carries out other care-related duties as assigned by the Administrator or nursing team. The ideal candidate must be willing to work flexible night shifts and be available to work weekend availability. Full-time positions require a minimum of 30 hours per week (4 days per week), and part-time positions require a minimum of 22.5 hours per week (3 days per week).

Essential duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Promote resident self-care, independence, and well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and within scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and confidential resident care and medication records.
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the Facility Nurse.
- Assist with all aspects of resident care, including lifting, transfers, and dining support.
- Complete vital signs, intake/output tracking, and incident reports as required.
- Communicate effectively with doctors, families, and staff regarding resident care.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked medication carts and medication room.
- Follow infection control protocols and facility policies.
- Support emergencies calmly and professionally.
- Perform other nursing duties as assigned by the Facility Nurse or Administrator.
- Works closely with caregivers, CNA's, Nurses, & pharmacy services.
Required Qualifications:
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions and company policies in English.
- Basic knowledge of documentation, record-keeping procedures, and computer use.
- Ability to communicate effectively and relate well to elderly residents.
- Professional and tactful when interacting with the public, visitors, residents, and families.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Attention to detail
- On time and dependable
- Health Care experience and working with seniors (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift, push, pull or move at least 50 pounds independently.
- Requires regular bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling.
- Frequent lifting requirement of less than or equal to 20 pounds, occasional lifting requirement of greater than or equal to 50 pounds.
