Join our team as a Housekeeper and be part of the team responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors. This position ensures compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations. This is a full-time position. Schedule rotates days from 6:00 am - 2:00 pm. Must be available to work rotating weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean, sanitize and maintains common areas, resident's rooms and bathrooms; including: Vacuuming, sweeping, emptying trash cans, dusting, and mopping floors.
  • Reports maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to supervisor.
  • of cleaning supplies and request refills or replacements when necessary
  • Follow infection control protocols, health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replacements as needed.
  • Provide friendly and respectful service to residents, guests, or coworkers
  • Follows all safety, OSHA, and infection control regulations.
  • Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects or events as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to pass the criminal background check required of all campus employees. 
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control standards preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, long-term care or hospitality preferred.
  • Must be able to read, understand and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
  • Works in temperature-controlled office areas, but frequently moves through the entire facility, including patient rooms, and common lobbies.
  • Characterized by moderate noise levels with frequent interruptions.
  • Required to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or move at least 50 pounds independently.
  • Requires regular bending, stooping, reaching, strong dexterity, and kneeling.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds frequently, up to 60 pounds occasionally.
