Technology Course Designer
Summary of Position
As a Technical Course Designer, you will be responsible for rewriting and updating existing technology courses to ensure they are relevant, engaging, and aligned with current industry standards. A solid familiarity with Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise will be an important part of transforming content into interactive, user-friendly online learning modules.
  • Hourly Contract Position - 6 Month Project with Possibility of Extension
  • Hourly Rate $21.00 - $23.00 - Hourly will be commensurate with experience
  • This is a Remote Position
  • Tech Impact Headquarters - Philadelphia, PA

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze existing technology course content to identify areas for improvement and updates.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights and ensure accuracy in content revisions.
  • Rewrite and enhance course materials to improve clarity, engagement, and pedagogical effectiveness.
  • Develop interactive and visually appealing courses using Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
  • Implement best practices in instructional design and e-learning methodologies.
  • Ensure that all course materials adhere to accessibility standards.
  • Provide recommendations for ongoing content updates based on emerging trends in technology and feedback from learners.
 Education, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Proven experience in instructional design, specifically in technology-related topics.
  • Experience using Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail and clarity.
  • Knowledge of e-learning principles and adult learning theories.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in working with SMEs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing courses for corporate trainings, higher education or other adult learning environments.
  • Understanding of current trends in technology and online learning.
