Low Voltage Technician (Chicago, IL)

• Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems (video surveillance, access control, commercial AV, and network wiring).
• Test and troubleshoot low voltage systems to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with technicians and contractors to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
• Provide professional and courteous service to clients, employees, subcontractors, trades, and vendors.
• Instruct clients on using newly installed systems and applications.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Commercial Construction environment. Low voltage systems experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is preferred. Network tools and electrical testing equipment experience is helpful.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to travel out of state, and work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate various PC or web-based applications to complete installations.
• Reliable transportation and basic hand tools.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience with IP/Analog CCTV systems, access control installations, commercial alarm systems.
• Familiarity with low voltage cable installation (Cat 5/6, speaker wire/intercom, coax).
• OSHA Safety Certifications and/or aerial lift equipment certifications.
• Independent working capability and willingness to travel as needed.
• Strong work ethic, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
