Skilled Trades Services is actively recruiting 2-3 reliable CNC Operators, to Set up and Operate computer numerical control machines to produce precision parts out of metal. Job Overview:
We are seeking a few skilled CNC Operator to operate our state-of-the-art equipment and produce quality precision parts for our clients at our Fort Lauderdale location. The ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of experience and a strong understanding of machine operations and programming. This is a full-time, on-site position with the potential for Regular employment after a successful temporary period.
Roles And Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain CNC machines to produce high-quality products
- Read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand-held measuring tools, such as calipers.
- Load bar stock in machine, cycles machine, detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools
- Run production lots, communicate with co-workers regarding productions runs
- Perform inspection of machined products. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee
- Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments to machines as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience as a CNC Operator/Machinist or similar role or experience
- Knowledge of CNC machines and tooling.
- MUST have Knowledge of “M” and “G” codes & print reading.
- Self-starter
- Able to communicate orally and in writing, basic oral instructions, simple written memos, and instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Location & Details of Employment:
This is an on-location job MUST BE: (In Fort Lauderdale, FL area)
- Gain experience and knowledge in operating CNC machines
- Potential for Regular employment
- Will REQUIRE reliable transportation.
- MUST PROVIDE: Two “Professional References” (Name, Phone #, Email, & Where you worked for them)
- Job Hours: HIRING FOR 2ND SHIFT (contact if you are an experienced CNC Machinist to discuss possible 1st shift)
- 2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs, 4pm – 2:30am
- ONLY Work 4/10hr shifts - ENJOY A 3 DAY WEEKEND EVERY WEEK
- 2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs, 4pm – 2:30am
