Technology Assistant

The Technology Assistant is responsible for providing quality technology support and assistance to teachers and students based on their technology needs and questions.  The Technology Assistant also assists the Director of Technology in all areas of the school technology plan.  Through this work and with a service-minded approach, the Technology Assistant is expected to support and strengthen the mission of Saint Joseph High School to transform students in heart and mind, preparing them to serve God, the Church, and the world.  


  • Provides quality service and support to teachers and students through the iHelp Desk.  This includes responding to in-person and remote (phone and email) requests.  
  • Responsible for maintenance, repair, and deployment of hardware to students and staff.
  • Maintains an inventory of hardware, software licenses, and other materials.
  • Maintains licenses for all software.
  • Maintains all passwords for faculty and staff.
  • Investigates security problems and network violation issues.  Reports to the Assistant Principal for Student Life when necessary.     
  • Aids in developing a long-range plan for technology use to improve the teaching/learning process and to support technology use for staff.
  • Assists with the execution of the School Technology Plan.
  • Performs other duties assigned.


  • Experience working in IT support.  Experience in a school setting is preferred. 


  • Able to trouble-shoot and problem basic solve hardware and software issues. 
  • Able to set-up new computers and install/deploy software to students and teachers.  
  • Able to assist with network or firewall/security issues.  
  • Adept with Google Suite and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.  
  • Able to be customer-service oriented.
  • Able to work on a team.
