The Superior Court of Fulton County Georgia (“Court”) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mediator.

Superior Court is Georgia's busiest trial court of general jurisdiction. The Court seeks to provide a forum in which legal disputes between citizens can be resolved in a fair and efficient process with attention to equal access, impartiality, efficiency, and safety.

Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Fulton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Court Program Administrator:

Conducts mediations with parties involved in disputed domestic relations, civil, tax related cases.
Prepares consent orders resulting in successful mediation and any additional documents related to all mediated cases.

Essential Duties:

Conducts mediation sessions with parties involved in domestic relations, civil and tax cases as assigned by the Fulton County Alternative Dispute Resolution Office.
Knowledge of the court system of Georgia and the procedures used in domestic relations, civil, and/or tax matters.

Experience:
Five (5) years of mediation experience within the judicial branch of the courts.

Skills and Qualifications:

Mediation Certification through Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution (Required)
Knowledge of laws, guidelines, and procedural matters
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening
Ability to maintain neutrality
Willingness to uphold a code of conduct
Protection of confidentiality
