ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical/electrical equipment and systems in order to maintain expected machine performance.
  • Welding/plate, pipe
  • Mechanical knowledge of pumps.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.
  • Inspecting machinery to identify issues that may lead to unplanned downtime.
  • Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist facility meet or exceed production waste and quality goals.
  • Communicating daily work performed and machine conditions via written and verbal documentation
EDUCATION:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 years of Millwright/Mechanical experience/Welding
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Knowledge of conveyors and drives.
  • Electrical repair abilities.
  • Experience in the use of cutting torch, ability in welding pipe and plate along with experience and ability to perform fabrication of metal work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mobility of arms – Must be able to reach and use arms to manipulate small objects.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Mobility inside the plant, stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Able to work off elevated platforms/aerial lifts.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Work is routinely performed in a general production environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both the internal and external environment.
  • Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
  • Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.
  • Must be able to work in elevated heights
  • Willing and able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
  • Must wear steel-toed boots.
  • Recommended (area specific): Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, back brace, and safety suit. Will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations.
  •  Must be able to wear full face respirator.
