ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist Maintenance team in the direction of maintenance and repairs of the Supermaxx soil blending line and other processing equipment.
  • Monitor operations of the soil blending line to ensure quality and safety.
  • Assist in and monitor training of Production Workers.
  • Direct Soil Blending Operations and operate the Supermaxx blending line as needed.
  • Dispatch delivery trucks as needed.
  • Monitor and track receiving of raw materials.
  • Maintain accurate and current record of raw material weights for calculations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions (shipments, transfers, receipts, etc.).
  • Assist Plant Manager in the measurement and counting of raw materials for inventory verification and reconciliation.
  • Develop and direct calibration procedures for the Supermaxx blending line and related equipment.
  • Develop and direct protocols for processing packaged raw materials to maximize yield and reduce shrinkage.
  • Investigate, document, and track customer complaints and concerns regarding soil quality and volume.
  • Supervision of all personnel to ensure that safety and health factors are recognized in all processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local ordinances affecting this position.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and programs.
  • Maintain valid licenses, certifications and/or permits required to perform responsibilities.
  • Ensure cleanliness of plant.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture or related field preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience operating forklift and skid steer loader.


LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Thorough knowledge of all production methods, techniques and related equipment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret Mix Sheets and Pick Lists.
  • Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and plant operations.
  • Must be extremely organized, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Communicating with internal and external customers – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend.
  • Mobility of arms – Must be able to reach and use arms to manipulate small objects.
  • Mobility inside the plant – Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Position will require some weekend work as necessary to complete essential functions.
  • Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
  • Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
  • Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
  • Must wear steel-toed boots.
  • Required: Safety glasses and ear gloves
  • Recommended:  Gloves, back brace, and safety attire as noted by guides provided in specific areas. These will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations.
