Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for aspects of a project or projects assigned to him/her including, but not limited to project specifications, materials, manpower, safety, budget, and liaison to the customer(s).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Implements NAVSEA Standard
  • The focal point for managing repair contracts
  • Coordinates and handles progress check
  • Schedules small and large-scale projects
  • Supervises project management staff
  • Conducts cost, schedule and performance review of projects
  • Coordinates changes to overhaul specifications to ensure timely implementation and completion
  • Interfaces with vessel’s coordinators on a day to day project matters
  • Directly interacts with company personnel in various departments

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ship repair or marine industry experience preferred however, not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience is required
  • Knowledge of managing Federal Contracts
  • Ability to negotiate and settle contract requirements
  • Knowledge of NAVSEA Standards Items
  • Proficient with Word and Excel
  • Must be flexible in work hours

  • Must show proof of your legal right to work in the United States
  • This position requires US Citizenship due to security clearance required for base access
    Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sites
