Do you have experience in Human Services and driving experience Allied Community Programs is looking for per-diem and part-time Program/Livery drivers to transport individuals with disabilities to jobs, programs, medical appointments, and recreational events throughout North Central Connecticut.  A current Connecticut Public Service License or Massachusetts Driver's License is required. Job Responsibilities:
  • Transports passengers courteously, responsibly, and by agency policy
  • Must drive in all weather conditions.
  • Perform safety and vehicle checks; record inspections; report accidents, incidents, and vehicle conditions to the supervisor.
  • Documents ridership details according to state requirements.

Job Requirements: 

  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated safe driving skills
  • Maintains accurate documentation records meeting Medicaid requirements.
  • Exhibits professionalism in interacting with our customers who are persons with varying disabilities 
  • Ability to complete work-related tasks regularly.
  • Establishes and maintains healthy, positive relationships with persons with disabilities.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma, 21+ years of age, and clean driving record required.
  • A Connecticut Public Service License or MA Driver License is required.
  • Top consideration given to those with related experience & motivation to improve the lives of persons with/ disabilities.
  • Experience working with individuals exhibiting challenging medical and behavioral needs.

Pay Rate:

$17.77/hour.
