 Education:  Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in the designated technical area of specialization from an accredited university.

Months/Years of Experience:  Nine (
9) years of combined engineering and technical experience, including Six (6) years of project experience; or a Master's Degree in the designated technical area of specialization from an accredited* university and Seven (7) years of combined engineering and technical experience, including Four (4) years of project experience, performing engineering, analysis, and related functions in research, development, test and evaluation in support of military equipment and systems.  Areas of specialization may include electromagnetics, electro-optics, optical sciences, electronic circuits, modeling and simulation, infrared scene projection, structural analysis, radar systems, high voltage systems, mechanical systems, data acquisition, stockpile testing, HWIL, HPC, or IR scene generation.  Additional specialization requirements:

–  Experience must include performing research, design, development, test or supervision of the manufacturing and installation of electrical components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use; and performing engineering, analysis, and related functions in research, development, test and evaluation in support of military equipment and systems.

Required Qualifications:  U.S. Citizenship.  The ability to obtain a Security Clearance. Must have experience with Altium designer or experience with similar software that will translate into a quick understanding of Altium; experience generating drawings and communicating requirements to vendors for the ordering of custom PCBs. 

Skills Needed:  Strong skills in electronics design and troubleshooting, to include analog, digital circuits and FPGA's.  Ability to use test equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc...to determine specifications for and / or troubleshoot equipment and circuits.  Must understand mechanical concepts such as packaging and user interfacing.

Duties:  Position will be responsible for the electrical and electronics development and integration of new test sets and modified/modernized test set.  These responsibilities will include creating specifications for COTS equipment, developing custom circuits and printed circuit boards, developing specialized cables, and integrating custom and COTS parts into overall system designs that meet specifications and customer requirements.

Desired Qualifications:  Hands-on experience with the integration of COTS and custom equipment and circuits is desired.  Experience with software (C++ preferred) and firmware (Verilog or VHDL preferred).
