Junior Engineer - Instrumentation Engineer (Dahlgren, VA)

Education: BS Degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Months/Years of Experience: Education related experience.
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Security Clearance. Hands-on, field work, running instrumentation, troubleshooting and integration. Willing to travel, including mission support on a vessel at sea. Team player, and track record of support complex projects. Requires knowledge of principles and practices of aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or systems engineering.
Skills Needed:
*Strong hands-on background in running and troubleshooting instrumentation;
*Ability and preference to work in both Laboratory and Field environments;
*Strong background in radar system hardware, software, radar operation, and radar theory;
*Design, development, and fabrication of hardware and software radar-based instrumentation solutions, in support of field testing;
*Knowledge and comfort conducting basic machining, and working with electronics;
*SolidWorks and MATLAB expertise is required.
Duties: Support ongoing projects within the Data Acquisition & Reduction Group, with a focus on PRTR instrumentation support. Duties include setup and execution of instrumentation support for tests at PRTR and offsite ranges. Travel less than 25% of time.
Desired Qualifications: Navy and/or Marine Corps related experience is preferred. Desire to work in a dynamic environment. Self-motivated. Mission oriented.
