Junior Engineer - Instrumentation Engineer (Shock and Vibration) (Dahlgren, VA)

Education: BS Degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Months/Years of Experience: Education related experience.
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Security Clearance. Hands-on, field work, running instrumentation, troubleshooting and integration. Wiling to travel, including mission support on a vessel at sea. Team player, and track record of support complex projects. Requires knowledge of principles and practices of aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or systems engineering.
Skills Needed:
*Strong hands-on background in running and troubleshooting instrumentation systems;
*Ability and preference to work both in Laboratory and Field environments;
*Design, development, and fabrication of hardware and software instrumentation solutions, in support of laboratory and field testing;
*Strong communication skills to support customer consultations, development of instrumentation plans, and test deliverables;
*Setup and execution of instrumentation support for tests at PRTR, EEA, and offsite ranges;
*Knowledge and comfort conducting basic machining, and working with electronics;
*SolidWorks and MATLAB expertise is required.
Duties: Support ongoing projects within the NSWCDD E45 Dynamic Environment RDT&E team with a focus on shock & vibration testing. Travel less than 25% of time.
Desired Qualifications: Navy and / or Marine Corps related experience is preferred. Desire to work in a dynamic environment. Self-motivated. Mission oriented.
