Education: High School diploma or GED
Months/Years of Experience: Five (5) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and three (3) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area. At least four (4) year of the five (5) years’ experience must include successful completion of 1 year of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of two (2) years of mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup in supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. Must have or be able to acquire a security clearance. A valid driver’s license. Flexible to work overtime to meet schedule deadlines. Must be able to understand and follow safety SOP and work procedures. Must be self-motivated, dependable, possess written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work within a team environment. Should be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and capable of lifting 50 lbs. Must be capable of obtaining Group II Level Explosive Certification and be willing to work in a hazardous environment. The ability to work safely and efficiently is a must.
Desired Qualifications: No certifications needs but experience with fabrication, assembly, prototyping of one-ff items is a plus. Support the design, procurement, installation, and integration of custom manufacturing and test components. Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Duties: Work as a valued member with Quality, Safety and Engineering to support ongoing test processes of military assets including systems and components that are in accordance with customer requirements. Follow all Standing Operating Procedures (SOP), work procedures, Test Safety Risk Assessments (TSRA) and safety guidelines. Note: Job orientation and on the job, training will be provided. Collaborate with teammates in establishing best practices and workplace organization. Other duties as assigned.
