Education: High School or GED
Months/Years of Experience: Seven (7) years of applicable supporting engineering, design or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or three (3) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and four (4) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: Instrumentation - Must have sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. A valid driver's license. Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.
Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting engineering or testing of military hardware is preferrable. Ability to work around and with high power RF and high voltage equipment is preferred.
Skills Needed: Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision or daily direction. Able to manage the conduct multiple testing activities in a fast paced rapidly changing environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong computer skills with MS Office applications. Occasional overtime work is possible.
Duties: Integrate, install, repair, service and upgrade High Powered Amplifiers. Perform non-routine and complex assignments involving repair, maintenance, and modernization of electronic equipment needed to generate RF environments support military electromagnetic testing. Will work with and be assisted by lower-level technicians. Will identify resources needed for repairs, work with vendors, obtain quotes, and generate purchase requests. Maintain status of high-powered equipment and report to division leadership for all RF equipment utilized by the division. Work with division experimental developer, identifying modifications or modernization efforts that will enhance current electronics equipment used.
Comments: Compliance with health mandates as dictated by the contract may be required as a condition of employment.
