 Education:  High School Diploma or GED

Months/Years of Experience:  One (1) year of applicable experience in engineering technical work that developed skills in making measurements using test instruments and computing; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school.

Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen.  A valid driver's license.  Must have or be able to acquire a security clearance. 

Desired Qualifications: Provide technical expertise for testing Army and other various systems for External radio frequency (RF) Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing; including but not limited to Electromagnetic Operational (EMRO), Electromagnetic Vulnerability (EMV), Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordinance (HERO), and Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Personnel (HERP) Testing. Maintain test facilities and support equipment for System Level testing. Assist senior technicians and engineers in performing testing to MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-461, and ADS-37A-PRF. Operate various test equipment to include high power Radio Frequency (RF) amplifiers, mobile and base station radio communication systems, signal generators, function generators, power meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes. Operate data acquisition systems including in house test software. Document test procedures, test methods, and test data. Consolidate test data into formats required by the test engineer. Work with the System Level Test team to ensure all customer schedules are met. Participate in cross-functional training activities within the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Test division (E3) performing a variety of engineering technician tasks.

Skills Needed:  Associates Degree in Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechatronics preferred. Ability to work independently or with a highly diverse team to include technicians, engineers, technical writers, and subject matter experts. Excellent written and communication skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with electromagnetic environmental effects testing preferred.
