Education: High School Diploma or GED
Months/Years of Experience: Five (5) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable
college/vocational/military/technical school and 3 years of applicable experience in the assigned
specialty area; Instrumentation – Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16)
weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a
minimum of two (2) years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
Required Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen and have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Qualifications: Five (5) years rotary wing experience or experience in RAM data
collection on rotary wing aircraft. Proficiency in typing at least 40 words per minute.
Experience and proficiency using computer systems. Possess basic math skills and the ability to
communicate orally and in writing with test project personnel. Able to work shifts, weekends,
holidays and perform temporary duty away from the home station. Capable of working at remote
test sites, enclosed areas and outdoors with exposure to moderate discomforts such as heat,
smoke, cold, noise, fumes, weapon firings, etc. Be capable of performing moderate physical
activities such as walking, standing, climbing, stooping, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Skills Needed: Effective communicator with supervisors, peers, customers and other team
members. Ability to analyze data to help identify root causes and trend analysis.
Duties: Collect/record operational and maintenance data on assigned U.S. Army CH-47F
aircraft/systems IAW customer and test plan directives. Assist the RAM project lead manager in
data quality assurance and preparing scheduled reports. Review maintenance and flight
records; write narrative description of events in the Test Incident Reports (TIRs) and initial
quality assurance review forms. Compile trend analysis, monthly and quarterly reports.
Offer technical advice to Junior and Intermediate Data Collectors in the completion of all data
collection forms. Be technically proficient with all aspects of the data collection system being
utilized for the assigned test project. Perform other duties as assigned. Be available for occasional travel, shift, weekend, holiday work.
