Lead Engineer - Systems (Dahlgren, VA)

AI Signal Research, Inc. (ASRI) is recruiting for the Potomac River Test Range (PRTR) contract in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division's non-explosive open air and indoor test, evaluation, and experimentation for the Test and Evaluation Division (E40) within the Gun and Electric Weapons Department.
Education: BS Degree in Engineering, Management or Technology is preferred.
Months/Years of Experience: Six (6) years experience
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Security Clearance. Hands-on, at least 50% involved in field work and integration. Willing to travel, including mission support on a vessel at sea. Team player, and track record of support complex projects. Experience dealing with the concept design and engineering, and test and evaluation of weapon systems components, subsystems, and systems.
Skills Needed: Programmatic and product development background. Data analysis. Task planning and scheduling. Translation of Novatel INS to Kearfo.
Duties: SW engineer develops and tests code to interface with the system, convert proprietary data structures to be compatible with the in-house tools. Assist with the development and integration of firmware. Responsible for the optimization and deployment of the algorithms/sub-routines (provided by system SME) into the core-board or other assets requiring firmware development.
Desired Qualifications: Navy and/or Marine Corps related experience is preferred. Software integration experience.
