Engineering Technician I (Huntsville, AL)

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Months/Years of Experience: One (1) year of applicable experience in engineering technical work that developed skills in making measurements using test instruments and computing.
Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. A valid driver's license. Must have or be able to acquire a security clearance and obtain an AMMO certification. Must be able to read and understand standing operation procedures (SOP) as written. Ability to understand basic engineering terminology and communicate effectively with others. Support overtime and travel on an occasional basis. Position will require manual lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Duties: Candidate will conduct missile and related component tests. Set up tests, collect data and assist with test reporting. Work as a team member in a collaborative effort, taking initiative at times when direction is implicit. Support senior engineers and technicians with the testing of missile systems. Additional duties may include general instrumentation installation, data acquisition system setup and operation. Prepare test items, adjust and operate equipment and record resulting test data, flagging deviations resulting from test item and / or test equipment failure. Expected to periodically participate in cross-functional training activities performing engineering technician tasks in support of other test programs.
Desired: Associates in Electronics desired.
