 Education:  High School Diploma or GED.

Months/Years Of Experience:  Three (3) years

Required Qualifications:  U.S. Citizen.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. Three (3) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and one (1) year of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: g. Mechanical -  Must have successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and one (1) year of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

Skills Needed:  In-depth knowledge of general shop equipment, including but not limited to bandsaw, CNC, milling machine, woodworking equipment, etc.  Experience fabricating parts and fixtures from engineering drawings and reading schematics and other engineering drawings.  Experience with general electronic maintenance tools including soldering irons, multi-meters, and oscilloscopes.  Ability to work both within a laboratory and outdoors environment including manual lifting up to 50 lbs. and working at heights of greater than 20ft.  Desire the ability to work in a team environment.  Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS, OneNote).  

Duties:  Provide technical expertise for test/facility fixtures utilized during testing at the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Test Division (ECE).  Design and fabricate various test fixtures used during E3 Test events to include utilization of nonconductive materials, machining and welding specialized parts.  Work closely with the Division Safety Officer, assisting with facility actions that ensure compliance for a safe work environment.  Maintain and repair test facilities and support equipment to include HVAC, hydraulic, air compressor systems and general shop equipment.  Maintain test grounds in and around equipment in place as well as test equipment as needed.  Maintain inventory of common use items in the ECE machine shop.  Maintain the ECE machine shop to comply with all RTC standards and knowledge of OSHA requirements.  Train other employees on general shop equipment.  Participate in cross-functional training activities within the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Test Division (ECE) performing a variety of engineering technician tasks.
