Job Summary:

Primary Function - Driver

Secondary Function - Shipping & Receiving Clerk:

To check, verity, prepare and ship, under available supervision, outgoing material and ensure all required procedures are completed related to percentage tests, test calculations, markings, scribes, specified packing methods and specific quality control steps consistent with established procedures and policies of the Company and customer. Receives and unpacks materials and supplies. Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record keeping purposes.
  • Organizes outgoing material, documentation, test results, packing materials, etc. necessary to complete assigned jobs and checks all documentation (travelers, special instructions, etc.)  to help ensure the best possible results.
  • Manages excess quantities of castings prior to shipment and removes excess units to designated storage area.
  • Inspects completed work for conformance with all established Company procedures and policies related to shipping of materials.
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime

  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
  • Comply with all the C-TPAT security requirements.
  • Perform daily truck check ups
  • Keep the trucks clean
  • Ability to work at a distance with the Ensenada team.
  • Maintain communication with the Shipping supervisor at Ensenada and immediately report any issues with the trucks or the load.
  • Keep the driver log book up to date
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Forklift License. Current Class C Driver’s License
  • Bilingual (english/spanish) desirable
