Quality Technician

Responsible for providing timely and accurate clerical administrative support work to the Quality Engineering Department.  Provide administrative, general office and organizational support to the Engineering Department.  Perform a wide range of projects to ensure fluent operations and timely response to customer requests.

  • Complete First Article Inspection Report
  • Create and review Data Packs.
  • Assist with the resolution of customer and internal quality problems by supporting engineers with documentation, tracking and report writing.
  • Ensure proper quality documentation is available for shipment of product
  • Maintain accurate revision history status for all product and specifications to ensure conformance to most recent customer standards.
  • Maintain document control system to provide efficient data retrieval.
  • Organize all product quality records containing discrepancy reports, submittals, customer correspondence and other related documentation per government standard.          
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime

  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or training school preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 of experience
  • Certifications/Licenses: DSQR Stamp
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Attention to detail is important.
  • Working Environment: Indoor working environment within various areas of a foundry facility
  • Required PPE: PEE varies throughout the plant, check with area Supervisor to ensure proper PPE is being used
  • Safety Glasses:  Needed in all areas of the plant
  • Steel toe shoes:  Needed in all areas of the plant
