Maintenance Manager 
Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) Syracuse has a need for a Maintenance Manager to join our team.  This position reports to Site VP and is responsible for establishing maintenance monitoring and delivery systems to assure optimal maintenance of manufacturing equipment.  Assuring proper maintenance for all manufacturing equipment and for providing leadership and coordination of all manufacturing maintenance activities to assure compliance, quality, product, cost and customer service and safety objectives are achieved.   CPP Syracuse is a manufacturer of premium investment castings for the Air Craft and Industrial Gas Turbine industry and has been in business for over 70 years. We have over 275 employees currently working in our Chittenango, NY facility.

Major Responsibilities:  
  • Established maintenance monitoring and delivery systems to assure optimal maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas. 
  • Hire, trains, evaluates and develops a qualified maintenance staff.
  • Monitors performance of maintenance activities (machine uptime, downtime, cost, reliability, etc.), identifies areas for improvement and implements solutions.
  • Establishes and controls maintenance budgets, including requests for capital expenditure. 
  • Evaluates adequacy of spare part quality and inventories and modifies accordingly.
  • Ensures a rapid response repair system is in place to address unplanned downtime events.
  • Assures maintenance documentation is accurate and is appropriately maintained.
  • Ensures routine repair, lubrication and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment.  Installs and rearranges equipment to support business objectives.
  • Established and monitors systems to ensure the safety of all personnel.
  • Interacts with production personnel and leaders to understand their requirements and remedy problems.
  • Manages annual planned electrical power outage to ensure reliable operation of major electrical equipment.
  • Manages ETT-Syracuse capital project program, including design and implementation of projects.
  • Issues purchase orders and coordinates payment of vendors for capital projects and major equipment repairs.
  • Maintain key vendor relationships and outsource services when needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering degree preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting vacuum equipment
  • Familiarity with Industrial Automation Software and SCADA platforms
  • Experience: 8+ years’ experience in facility maintenance, plant maintenance or production equipment maintenance.  Manufacturing setting as a maintenance manager is desired.  Experience working in a Foundry is a plus.  EHS background a plus.
  • Prior supervisory or managerial experience required.
  • Must have demonstrated understanding of maintenance management systems, financial control, planning and scheduling.
  • Certifications/Licenses: None required; PE license a plus
