Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our team. This is a 1st shift position at our plant in Bloomington, MN. The Shipping Clerk check, verity, prepare and ship outgoing material. Ensure all required procedures are completed related to percentage tests, test calculations, markings, scribes, specified packing methods and specific quality control steps consistent with established procedures and policies of the Company and customer.

Major Responsibilities
 
  • Organizes outgoing material, documentation, test results, packing materials, etc. necessary to complete assigned jobs and checks all documentation (travelers, special instructions, etc.)  to help ensure the best possible results.
 
  • Reviews casting process on travelers and completes travelers with additional information according to procedures.
 
  • Stamps or applicable information per part specific work instructions for that particular unit or units to be shipped is complete prior to moving shipments to the shipping area for pickup.
 
  • Load castings into shipping container using forklift, pallet jack, or hoist.
 
  • Manages excess quantities of castings prior to shipment and removes excess units to designated storage area.
 
  • Inspects completed work for conformance with all established Company procedures and policies related to shipping of materials.
 
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development.


Qualifications
 
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Previous shipping experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Forklift license, Class B license, CDL license preferred
