Engineer will be responsible for investment/loss wax casting development of new product introduction and improvement of existing product. The ideal candidate will posses a minimum of 7-years of experience in the investment casting engineering role.
This includes but is not limited to:
Planning, gating development, establishing foundry parameters, and work instructions. The candidate must be capable of working with all Microsoft Office software. Good working/communication skills in using SolidWorks CAD system, blueprint reading and interpretation, tooling design, manufacturing and strong knowledge of the dimensional aspect of the castings environment. Other tools like SolidCast for solidification analysis and PolyWorks for dimensional analysis will be available as tools used to enhance the casting process and geometry. The candidate will also be required to participate as a member of Continuous Improvement Teams. The objectives are to improve existing casting processes, identify and implement cost improvement initiatives. Lean Six Sigma Tools and Black Belt are desired. Project management skills are critical. Self-starter and a go get attitude are expected.
  • Main focus is medium/large structural aerospace components. Responsible for the development of stainless and aluminum alloy castings with an extension of some specialty alloys. Planning, gating development, establishing foundry parameters, work instructions and customer interfacing are an essential function of this role. Participation of daily operational metrics is expected as an essential activity and drive the new product introduction.
