Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) has an immediate need for an Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist for Wollaston Alloys Inc. in Braintree, MA, to join our team. Wollaston Alloys is a stainless steel and high alloy sand casting foundry that manufactures castings for the military and power generation industries.

The position requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. We are looking for a highly motivated team player who brings a strong work ethic and accounting skills.

Accounts Payable
  • Process all vendor invoices, credit card statements, and expense reports
  • Ensure proper coding and validation of invoices processed in our system
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile multiple company credit cards
  • Prepare weekly payment run proposals
  • Monitor invoices and payments due and ensure payment in a timely manner.
  • Track and monitor recurring EFT and ACH payments for timely processing.
  • Reconcile all payables monthly.
  • Process weekly checks with appropriate signatures.
  • Maintain control over all AP Module and all Accounts Payable files.
  • Review and book monthly T&E accrual journal entries.
  • Review and reconcile monthly AP aging including analysis on aged balances.
  • Assist with month-end close, quarterly reviews, and year-end audits as needed.
  • Provide customer service and support to internal departments and vendors with respect to various accounts payable inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Procurement team on vendor onboarding.
  • Respond to inquiries from A/P vendors and staff.
  • Monitor account payable trial balances and track and inform directors and vendors of outstanding invoices and payments.
  • Maintain vendor records and W-9’s and generate annual 1099 reporting.
  • Carry out some basic procurement tasks.
  • Other ad-hoc projects as needed.
Accounts Receivable
  • Perform invoice billing and associated sales reporting
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals, journal entries, preparation of balance sheet accounting reconciliations, and closing and reconciling key accounts
  • Manage collection process
  • Resolve invoice disputes and other billing inquiries from customers
  • Assist to maintain the following for A/R and Bad Debt: accounting, reporting, month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and job entries

General Accounting and Administrative:
 
  • Assist with account analysis, research, and reconciliations as needed.
  • Assist with month end and year end close process.
  • Assist with annual audits as needed.
  • Potential to be assigned to staff the registration area at Annual Meetings.
  • Organize and help maintain retention of Finance files.
  • Liaise as needed between departments

Who We’re Looking For
  • Education: High school or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting a plus
  • Experience: 2-6 years of experience as an accountant. Experience working with manufacturing preferred. Experience in public accounting a plus. 
  • Certifications/Licenses: Accounting or finance qualification a plus  
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and possess strong Excel skills. Must have experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software, preferably QAD. 
  • Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to proactively manage own work streams as needed
  • A team player who excels at building relationships across the organization while adhering to tight deadlines with a positive demeanor
