Consolidated Precision Products (CPP), a manufacturer of highly complex aluminum & magnesium aerospace castings is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team! This role reports to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager at our plant in Bloomington, MN.   

The Maintenance Engineer will lead the effective execution of all preventative maintenance processes and assigned work/projects within the plant, with a focus on optimizing all maintenance functions, including predictive preventive maintenance (PPM), spare parts, scheduling and performance.

Major Responsibilities


• Coach and train as necessary maintenance personnel in the performance of their duties in regards to PM PDM RCM.
• Partner in the development of overall plans, including manpower, for major maintenance overhauls, shutdowns and projects
• Support the development, control and tracking of maintenance inventory budgets
• Coordinate with planning/scheduling, inventory control and maintenance purchasing for all repairs, products, work schedules and meetings
• Administer the PM PDM program and parts room inventory for all equipment, building and facilities through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Perform analyses to determine the root cause of critical and repetitive equipment failures
• Analyze equipment history and the line event data system to identify specific failures
• Oversee the parts room to ensure adherence to company policies, availability of necessary parts, elimination of obsolete materials and adjustment/optimization of stocking levels
• Manage the planning/scheduling of maintenance work using the work order system and CMMS; coordinate equipment availability/resources
• Establish work measurement techniques and determine the effectiveness and improvements needed for the maintenance department
• Maintain equipment and facility documentation/drawings
• Provide support for assigned projects, troubleshooting and day-to-day activities
• Communicate with Operations teams and vendors regarding equipment issues and capital projects
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality parts that meet regulatory and company requirements
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safety Systems

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
  • 5 years technical experience in maintenance/manufacturing or trades industry dealing with preventative and predictive maintenance
  • 2 years of direct maintenance supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Environment Protection Agency and Occupational Safety & Health Administration requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS
  • Strong analytical skills
